Cruise transfers: Manhattan, Brooklyn and Cape Liberty

The three terminals

• Manhattan Cruise Terminal, West Side — heavy traffic on the West Side Highway; allow extra time from anywhere east of Fifth Avenue.
• Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, Red Hook — easy from Brooklyn and Long Island, slower from New Jersey.
• Cape Liberty, Bayonne NJ — straightforward from New Jersey; from New York the trip carries the automatic $20 cross-state toll, already in your quote.

Timing your departure

Cruise lines assign boarding windows, and arriving before yours means queueing on the pavement with your bags. Work back from the start of your window: 60–90 minutes of travel from most of the city, more on a weekday afternoon or a multi-ship sailing day when terminal roads back up.

Luggage and vehicle choice

Cruise passengers travel heavy. Two people with two large cases each are already beyond comfortable sedan capacity, so we usually recommend a Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade ESV, and a Sprinter for families and groups. Tell us the bag count when you book and the right vehicle is assigned.

Drop-off and pickup

At all three terminals the chauffeur pulls into the passenger drop-off lane, unloads to the porters and stays until your bags are tagged. Terminal staff keep the lane moving, so this is a stop rather than a wait.

Coming home, book the pickup for when your deck actually clears customs — typically 60–120 minutes after docking, later for the last groups. Text us as you clear and the vehicle comes forward from the holding area.

Airport before or after a cruise

Many sailings pair with a flight. We handle airport-to-terminal and terminal-to-airport transfers as a single reservation with flight tracking on the airport leg, including Newark and JFK on the same day as a Cape Liberty sailing.
